- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil until evenly coated. Add minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using), and toss again to distribute the seasonings.
- Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they're not overcrowded to ensure even roasting and crispiness.
- Roast for 15-20 minutes, tossing halfway through, until the beans are tender-crisp and starting to brown at the edges.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese. The residual heat will melt the cheese perfectly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
Dry beans are key for crispiness - make sure green beans are completely dry before tossing with oil. Don't overcrowd the baking sheet to prevent steaming. Use freshly minced garlic and quality Parmesan for best flavor.
